The XXX is a heavy modular attack helicopter. The base version of the it is easily converted, to fulfill different roles. These include an artillery variant, a gunship variant for ground support, a long range laser variant to take down precisely heavy targets and an anti air version. With a crew of three it is meant to operate for extended periods being also able to form something like a flying wall, defending larger territories against air strikes or threats on the ground. Equipped with four hardpoints on the hull and two exchangeable wings for different roles it can carry a huge variety of sensors and weapons.
Medium armored it relies mostly on its passive and active countermeasure systems, being independent of other systems and needing not much support against missile, rocket and to an amount gun attacks. It carries his on ECM and ECCM system with a base version built in and two wing pylons reserved solely for ECM pods.
The version seen here is the the ground support unit with a mixed weapon load out and a maximum of gun mounts on the hardpoints
The point defense variant can be seen here:

Couldn't come up with a proper name, just happy my Computer didn't break down while modelling this.

Length and width dimensions! I know its way bigger than the AH-64 Apache and Hind -D Russian attack helicopter combined! As  a former army aviation officer of a Cobra attack helicopter squadron much smaller but faster! I am impressed with the turret cannon weapons pylons! Great job wished we had this in our inventory back in the 70's and 90's!

Here is a rough sketch with deployed landing gear. flaketom.deviantart.com/art/La…
The landing gear actually fits (spacewise) into the body.

That is cool. You should work for Lockheed Martin or Boeing just drawing up cool shit for them to decide whether or not to build real ones. This is the kind of imagination that the AH64 and the like were inspired by. Not to mention the Space Program that put man on the moon and all the crazy shit they thought of to accomplish that. Got talent Brother.

In all seriousness I love how you just said "screw it" and tried to see how much firepower you could put on a helicopter drone.

I demand this in DCS Helicopter sim. Then again, if it is in there, I would probably have to buy another keyboard just to handle all the shortcuts to firing all these weapons and who knows what....

I post it on the wrong place before, so I do it right now.

From my view: Thats not a critique for a bad design, but just let me give you a few tips to improve your design and give the whole machine a more authentic look.

1. Make the rotorblades bigger! Also for a coaxial design, they seems to smal for that heavy beast. You also need more space between the lower and upper rotor. If the space is to thight, they would crash into each other, during the flight. Rotor blades warping during the flight, especially during a high stress.

2. remove the giant cannon under the chassis or make them smaler, than you can add a landing gear.

3. reduce the size of the radar or sensor phalanx on the top of the rotor shaft. Theres no need to give them this dimension. I couldn´t imagnine any radar or jammer technology that needs so much space.

4. the compressor section for the engines are nearly closed. You need a bigger air entrance, otherwise the engines didn´t get enough power.

Hey there,

first of all thanks for the comments! Much appreciated and all in all you are completely right!
 1. The rotorblades are way to small. Didn't see that and yes I should change it. And yes the for a coaxial rotor they are too close. Also the mechanics wouldn't work as some stuff is missing. But in the end I became lazy and didn't want to model it and I went for the close finishbecause of the looks. That brings me to number:
2. The giant cannon. It is gigantic. Yes. And yes.... Hm. I guess I went a little over the top. Should change that to make the design more realistic, this would also be true for the...
3. sensor phalanx on top of the rotor shaft (even more true for the other variant (the fuel tanks! Don't even think about them!). It's big. Which is also true for the one on the tail. But as with the gun I just wanted to exaggerate and go out of proportion.
4. And with the compressor section I had a look at a Havoc and as it was also mainly closed I thought with the slits in my design it woulda be okay. But thanks, a well grounded opinion is always good.

And for the landing gear here is a rough sketch of how it works. Spacewise it's okay, but if it's technically reasonable...eeeehm...a smaller gun would make sense....
flaketom.deviantart.com/art/La… (and ignore the ladder. It would flip in an instant)

Again. Many thanks for the comments! Always happy about it.

How does the helicopter land? I dont see any landing gear.

:laughing:Okay das is funny.
