Working on the leg design of the tank.
Decided to do legs with wheels, so it can travel faster while on the move, or on flat terrain. The wheels can be moved into four positions, with three of them enabling the use of them, and are powered individually. Another idea is that each wheel/leg can be detached individually, when damaged.
Still some work to be done on the legs and the whole body. Critique as always welcome and much appreciated.
As I liked the orange color of the leg joints I decided, to do a late test version with the guns/sensors secured...

Are you from Russia? Or do you speak Russian? I am interested because I was wondering if you knew what "Bogatyr" meant.

No, I am not from Russia, and sadly I don't speak any Russian. But as I know it Bogatyr is some heroic mythical knight. That right?
Love the Bogatyr paintings from Vrubel or Vasnetsov!

You are completely right about your interpretation of the word. I was just being curious. Regarding the paintings, I was recently in the Russian museum in St.Pete and I have seen the painting by Vrubel, it is astounding! Anyway, thanks for the reply! Great work, keep it up! :D (Big Grin)

Good to know. Been there too, but many years ago and I know I bought the postcard I am now not sure anymore to have seen the original. Guess so but that damn brain is getting old... :D

Hmmm... To me on the internet everyone seems the same age... Never wondered about your age. I myself am 14 years old. But does it matter?:D (Big Grin) Where are you from? If I may ask.

i insist legs must combine with wheels to be reasonable on a mech!! i love this monster and i think more detail on the body will make it better!!

THanks! Yeah, maybe I'll come back to it and redo the whole body. Maybe...

needs way more armor and active defence. With the higher profile this thing will attract serious amount of AT fire as well.
Also why is it breakthrough tank? With high mobility, good cross-terrain performance and long-range radar capabilities (noting the radar) and serious amount of firepower i would classify this as fire support tanks for hard terrain areas like mountains or rocky terrain.
Heavy breakthrough tanks are heavy, slow and wide tanks with mine ploughs and dozer blades. They are meant to withstand damage that would cripple ordinary tanks from the front and clear an opening for infatry to go thru. This tank does not provide cover for infantry and would run into trouble when it comes to CQC with enemy infantry: it exposes soft armor at the belly, cannot shoot down with it's cannon (or can shoot down, but would splash itself in the process) and it can easily be flanked and destroyed.
Also breakthru tanks are lightly armed, most only have 7,62 or 12.7 mm machine guns, to enable heavier armor (cannons require ammo, and turret and that combo easily overloads the power plant when comboed with armor, f ex Leopard V1 mine sweeper)

All in all, i do not think that this tank qualifies to be breakthru tank
