A heavy tank I did on the Heavy Gear Blitz "Forged in Fire" Southern Field Guide, for Dream Pod 9.

This is icredible, but I'm a crazy perfectionist and a missile launcher really annoys me because of the targetting system- I'd like it to be on the top and to have an additional missile on its previous place

A top mounted targeting system would make sense, as both launchers could fire in both directions, but like this they are able to 'work' independantly (though this could be solved by a more complex/evolved targeting system or two on top. But then again, I did stick to the original concept an I am not sure anymore what purpose the launchers had.

Fairly working concept.
Why is the commander's cupola in the front of the tank instead of being beside autoloader?

Actually the commanders copula is on the turret, just not visible, as it is on the other side of it.

Soviet Russia tried to produce "jet-powered" tank half century ago and it looks like this tank :)

Well, speaking from a purely tanker perspective, I always envisioned the Visigoth having double wheels, like the M1 Abrams. But still an awesome work overall, and especially amazing with SketchUP. And that this will become the new model for the company shows just how good you did, sir. -salute-

Thanks a lot man, really appreciate your comment! I agree, I should give him probably double wheels, as the ones right now seem a bit to small.

Heh, considering I was actually going to attempt the same thing in SketchUP, I think it's good that you got it right before I even attempted to do it. :D

Honestly, Tom, I don't have it in me. My artistic ability is about as much as you can put into a millimeter. No joke. Best I can do is some drawings of mountains... some landscapes... it's tough for me. But thank you for the vote of confidence, anyway. :)

Nah, man, JUst give Sketchup a try. It's dead simple and while doing skills develop. Surely it won't be perfect at the beginning, but everybody started small. And especially for technical stuff, Sketchup is great. Also there are tons of models out there for free to help one understand how it's done.

Split the tracks in two sections longitudinally is a very good concept that improve greatly the survivability in battlefield. Also excellent the concept of small, independent launcher turrets.

This is a much less "anime" version of the Viz. More like a Soviet tank, actually. I dig it. In a major way!

I'm curious, does it articulate in the middle? Just asking because the two sets of tracks caught my attention.

JakarNilson is right. THere is no articulation in the middle. Twas really the more cool approach...:D

I see where you're coming from, it does look cooler this way. Even so, being able to articulate in the middle would have some advantages.

I believe the Caiman APC was originally meant to be articulated. That's in the HG design notes on Marc Alex Vézina's website. A great read.
