A quick render with indigo of the antigravracer.

I've been wanting to design crafts like this for a long time, with similar design. Cockpit in the center, wing pods either side. I've never been able to do it right, and I saw this and thought, this is the one who can teach me the tricks. How do you do it?

You wanna learn Sketchup? Or is it more, that you wanna know how the concept evolved?

The concept. I can model, sure, but I can't really get it right. I can picture EXACTLY what I want to achieve, too, it's real frustrating...

First, sorry for taking so long with the reply. If you got the picture already in your mind that's great. Then just start with the rough form I'd say, so you got the size, angles and proportions right. Then go for the details. It helps me a lot to look at real stuff so I know how it looks and works. Quite kinda common my advice, but that's how I do it. I normally got a rough concept and then start to build it. and all details and such kinda evolves with function and the overall look.
Cheers
